GGPoker.com is the world’s biggest online poker site and also boasts one of the most extensive tournament schedules in the industry, offering a range of events to suit every player's preference.
On this page, you’ll find information about the various types of tournaments available for players.
To participate in any tournament, all you need to do is log in to your account and visit the tournament lobby.
If you’re new to GGPoker, registering a new account is quick and straightforward - just download the app and register in no time, and as a new player, you can use the GGPoker bonus code GOPOKER to unlock a generous welcome offer, with up to $600 in bonus money available when you register and making a qualifying deposit.
Guaranteed Tournaments
GGPoker’s Guaranteed Tournaments feature a set prize pool that will be awarded even if the total buy-in amount is less than the guaranteed amount.
If the buy-ins surpass the guaranteed prize pool, the prize pool increases accordingly.
You can check the guaranteed prize amount for each tournament directly in the tournament lobby.
Freezeout Tournaments
In a Freezeout Tournament, every player starts with the same number of chips. Once you run out of chips, you are eliminated from the tournament. If a tournament isn’t a rebuy event, it will be a freezeout.
Progressive Bounty
The Progressive Knockout (PKO) Bounty format at GGPoker puts a bounty on each player’s head. When you are eliminated, half of your bounty’s value is added to the bounty of the player who knocked you out, while the other half is awarded to them as an instant cash prize.
Rebuy Tournaments
GGPoker Rebuy Tournaments allow players to purchase additional chips if their stack falls below the starting amount. You can rebuy during a specific time window, and the number of rebuys available depends on the tournament.
Shootout Tournaments
In Shootout Tournaments, tables are not balanced as players are eliminated. Between 2 and 9 players compete at each table until one winner remains. Winners from each table then advance to the next round until all prize positions are filled and an overall winner is crowned.
Satellites
Satellite tournaments are qualifying events where you have the opportunity to enter higher-stakes events. They offer a chance to win entry into main events or Bounty Hunters tournaments with larger buy-ins.
GGPoker offers both turbo and standard-speed Satellite tournaments.
Turbo Tournaments
Turbo Tournaments are faster-paced events with shorter blind levels. When you log in you will be able to choose from a variety of turbo tournaments, from satellites to daily guarantees.
N-Stack Tournaments
A relatively new addition to GGPoker, N-Stack Tournaments provide each player with a set number of chip stacks when registering for a particular event. Before starting, you can choose how many N-stacks you want to begin with and how many to reserve for later use.
