High Stakes Poker Season 13 hasn’t been going well for Andrew Robl. The American pro lost close to a million in just a single hand against Scratch CEO, Sameh Elamawy.

What happened in episode 5?

In a particular hand, Robl was dealt with pocket kings and raised to $2,000 from the button. Elamawy from the big blind opted for a 3-bet and Robl hit back with a 4-bet of $35K. The action was intensifying preflop and the top boss from Scratch threw in a 5-bet of $150K.

This move surely left Robl a bit stunned which led him to think. He played with his chips, checked his hole cards, gave his rival all kinds of looks and then shoved.

This put Elamawy in an auto all-in spot and he did not shy away. The pot was sitting at $981,300 and both players agreed to run it twice.

The runouts

The runout was brutal both the times which left Robl shocked. Not once did a King show up on the board, with the community cards only favouring Elamawy. The CEO hit an Ace on the flop both times, which led to another player on the table saying, “I feel bad for Robl.”
It was harsh to not pair any cards on the board but hopefully the wine Robl had made it a bit easy to digest.

Andrew Robl versus Jennifer Tilly

Robl previously lost the biggest pot on High Stakes Poker Season 13 against Jennifer Tilly. The female pro brought Robl a ticket to the suck out city.

Robl lost a pot worth over $600,000 when his Ten-Nine suited did survive Tilly pocket queens on a board that had T♣6♦10♥ Q♣7♠.

Robl was miserable and we are not surprised why. This wasn’t Robl’s first failure in the poker show. He had previously lost to high stakes player Santhosh Suvarna. Robl lost a pot of $992,000 when his Five-Four suited drowned against Suvarna’s Big Slick.
