CoinPoker's Tony G Makes A Sick Call, Scoops Over €1M
Massive pots in poker garner a ton of attention. Why so? Well, someone is either bluffing or some player is making a sick call which makes jaws drop. Either way, it makes for an insane watch. We have one such hand played at Triton Poker Series. At the high stakes series, Tony G locked horns with another Triton regular Mikita Badziakouski.
In this hand, Tony G was playing with King-Nine offsuit while his rival had Queen-Seven offsuit. The hand initially had three players but with Isaac Haxton folding, it was only Tony G and the Belarusian player.
At blinds €2K/€4K and a straddle of €8K, Tony G raises €22 preflop and both the players call. The flop presents JK7 and sees Tony throw in another €20K and both his rivals call.
The turn drops a 2d and Tony G once again led with a bet of €70K. This is where Haxton bowed out and let the other two battle it out.
The river brought 8d which gave Tony G the top pair against Badziakouski’s Seven-pair. The Belarusian player goes for a massive bluff when he raises his rival’s bet to €400K.
Tony G thought for a few seconds but makes the call eventually and sees his opponent muck his cards. And just like that Lithuanian-Australian businessman had scooped a mighty pot worth over €1 Million.
But the best part came when Tony G screamed, “I’m the best” over and over again. He also screamed, “I will destroy you,” while looking at Badziakouski.
This was not the only time when Tony G has scooped such jaw-dropping pots. He won three major pots worth over a million dollars on CoinPoker.
